Last of the season?
Kevin did alot of trimming for me in the yard this weekend and I was
sad to see all the roses go. I looked out when he was done and saw these remaining
flowers. He is so funny when he trims because he will have this perfectly
trimmed bush with one budded long stem. He knows I hate to cut a bud
when it is getting ready to bloom. I got a pretty little fall arrangement
from what was left, very fun for me.

Miss Donna Pidgeon meets Miss Madison Rush
Tai Pan Trading Company
Okay don't thank me too much, just buy me something when you go.
Look up this terrific store in Ontario, you will love it for affordable
home and holiday decor. I was there on Saturday and who do you suppose I saw?
That's right, Donnie Osmond with a wig. No, Marie Osmond
with a wig.
Tai Pan had their Grand Opening and this store
is very fun.

Flash from the Past.
I wish I had brought my camera. Last night Kevin and I met our old neighbors and dear friends from our Riverside house for dinner and a hockey game. We have known Dan and Julie Fachner since Sean was 3. We moved into our house in Riverside the weekend their youngest daughter Tawni was born. Tawni and Sean are now both attending Cal Baptist University. Stacy and Kristi actually staged a wedding for Sean and their oldest daughter Tori. Sean also gave Tori her first haircut to the devastation of both Julie and me. We shared many fun times: camping trips (stranded on the side of the road in 105 degree heat) game nights, opossum hunting, boating at their home in the desert. I will try to dig out some old pictures for a true flash from the past. Thank you Dan and Julie for such a fun evening.

The Park
I ran in the park this morning and the weather was outstanding.
You could feel the briskness in the air and you could see
all the way to the foothills of Mt Baldy.
Kevin ran with me and we walked up the hill with Mike and Alice
and then we ran into Roger and Dusty.
Afterwards I met Donna and we had a very vigorous walk.
Her endorphins should be kicking in about now. You go girl!
Kris told me a story about a wealthy man, who, whenever he saw a coin, as small as a penny on the ground he would stop and take the time to pick it up and hold it in is hand for a moment before slipping it into his pocket. He was asked why he bothered to pick up something as worthless as a penny when he was so wealthy. Because, he said written on the penny are the words "In God we Trust" Whenever he saw a coin on the ground he would pick it up and thank God for all the blessings in his life. I found a penny this morning, and I thanked God for all the blessings in my life.

My Hero!
Last week I put out a shopping 911 emergency to find some dishes
I wanted for my Christmas table.
Mrs. Joy Rush - shopper extraordinaire rose to the challenge.
Joy in her infinite shopping wisdom found me 5 (12 if I wanted) additional dishes to complete my set.
Thank you so much for finding my dishes, Joy.
We will see you soon.
Love Maryrose
P.S. Thank you to all you shoppers out there
who were also looking for my dishes.

Tomorrow is the day
Thats right. Riley and Madison are taking me, Baba and Mom to the Backyardigans live.
For those of you with grandchildren you should be quite familiar with these five imaginative backyard buddies. My favorite is Austin. He gets left out alot but I think he is very smart (I think he may be a G.A.T.E. kid) So here we come Uniqua, Pablo, Tasha, Tyrone and Austin. See you Saturday.

Can you feel it?
Fall is really here! Can you feel the briskness in the mornings?
It inspired me to do a fall table which I don't usually leave
set for the season but I found these cool antique glass
acorns that I just loved. Fun table
I think I may use this for my Thanksgiving table also.
We are having the smallest on record, 8 which
will be fun and intimate. Our special guests from
Oregon Joy and Dave Rush will be joining us. (Tims' parents)
Welcome Joy and Dave.
