Every Bunny Welcome

You're no bunny till
some bunny loves you.
Welcome to
Tablescape Thursday

Today I enjoyed a lovely bunny party on my table.
Since I love a party, I embraced the bunnies.

My table is pink, orange, yellow and white, a
reflection of spring.

I used a checked tablecloth of orange, yellow and pink.
The chargers are a recent purchase from HomeGoods.
I only bought 6 (all they had)
That's the only problem with HomeGoods...
you can't always buy as many as you want.

The yellow dish set is Chris Madden from JC Penney
and came to live with me when my mom did.
Oh, is that a bunny I see?  He may
be after that egg to hide.

But that looks like a bigger egg.

Bunnies, bunnies everywhere...

All dressed up for the party

and a dressed up egg too.

My candle is wearing a flower broach

Napkins folded like little skirts

Some pretty crystal

A view from the table

Some pretty gerbera daisies in pink, orange and yellow

All we need now is a lovely dinner and of course a beverage.
Can you see the tulip shaped placemats acting as our runner?

Some lovely light shining in

An explosion of color

 Layering

Can you see the etching on the glass?  I love these glasses.

Thanks for joining my bunny party....

Come again soon!!

Top o' the Morning to You...

Thanks Kathleen
for embracing the Irish.

Happy St Patrick's Day

May those who love us love us.
And those that don't love us,
May God turn their hearts.
And if He doesn't turn their hearts,
May He turn their ankles,
So we'll know them by their limping."
--Irish curse

A little friend came by to help me celebrate
St. Patrick's Day with Kathleen at
Kathleen is having her 2nd annual St. Patrick's Day crawl
and I wanted to throw my hat in and join the party.

So I decided to catch myself a leprechaun.
They are very crafty fellows, but luckily, I
knew his weakness.

So with much anticipation, I filled a pot with gold.
Not ordinary gold....but leprechaun gold.

Amongst the gold I spotted himself
as bold as you please.  I don't think he was worried
one bit, that I would catch him and steal his gold.
All he did was tip his hat and give me a wink and

ask what was for dinner.  And of course did we have
green beer?

So I invited him for dinner and he
told me this....

The table is wearin' the green.
"May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light,
May good luck pursue you each morning and night."

--Irish blessing

I also have an Irish Tablescape, if you would like
to visit it click here
Thanks for stopping by!!!!!

Have you Seen This?

I was just wondering how many
of you have seen this, and does anyone
think it is as funny as I do?

Now the new question is ..... How does your man smell?

Another Milestone

Life is Good

I visited the lovely town of Palm Springs yesterday.
The weather was heavenly, sunny and oh so pleasant.
I have visited Palm Springs every 6 months for
the past 4 1/2 years.
This is significant because it has been 4 1/2 years since a was diagnosed with breast cancer.
So yesterday was a good day, I got another 6 month reprieve,
I had a lovely shopping day with my friend Peggy
and I had a delicious lunch.
Now I don't have to think about Palm Springs
for another 6 months.
Life is good.

Thanks Peggy, for sharing the day.

"Luck of the Irish" - Tablescape Thursday

Welcome to Tablescape Thursday

hosted by the ever talented

Today my Irish eyes were smiling, when I came
downstairs to see what to do with my table this week for Tablescape Thursday, this is
what I found.

It seems that a little leprechaun has taken up residence in my diningroom.
Bringing with him all of his gold.  That is pretty lucky for me,  I didn't
even have to search for his "pot of gold at the end of the rainbow"

Well I was very excited.  As I looked closer...
I discovered he brought some shamrocks too.
In all shapes and sizes...and yellow tulips, oh so pretty.
I think this leprechaun must be in touch with his feminine side
with that blingy shamrock.
I don't know about you, but a leprechaun has never shown himself to me before.
He even put a little shamrock on my napkins
And what is that I see?  Could it be green beer?
Yes it is.  Oh,
this is my kind of fellow.
You know what they say about about beer?

God invented beer
so that Irishmen wouldn't take over the world.

The glasses that are holding the green beer
were my grandfather's, then my mother's
and now mine.
Mom and I were trying to figure out how old they were
and decided
they were at least 60 years old.
My mom's first memory of them was
when she was 17.

Funny story about these.
Mom gave them to me a few years ago,
I had always loved them,
but had not used them often.
I always thought, in my younger days,
that the glasses had reindeer on them.
When I actually received them, I realized they
were horses.
White ones and Gold ones on a frosted glass.

There's a peek at "himself" surveying the table...
actually I think
he may be checking out the green beer...thirsty little guy.

My little friend used green water goblets,
for those of us not drinking beer
(I can only imagine .... well not really)

Tulips

I used the sunburst again...look what it did to the napkin ring.
so cool, I guess I better buy one since I am so infatuated with it.
I can't wait to buy something with all of my gold!!
Shopping trip?

I think my little friend may come back for dinner, since I
am making corned beef Reuben's.
and from there who knows....?

But I will keep him around as long as I can...

at least until Kathleen's
St Patrick's Day crawl on March 16th.
Be sure to visit her on party day.

Until then thanks for stopping by,
Happy St Patrick's Day and Happy
Tablescape Thursday!!

Come back again soon.

Hooray for Hollywood!!!!

Hollywood put on the glitz and glamour last night
and
another Oscar night bites the dust.

We had a great time at Katina and Mike's for Oscar night.
Mike is such a great sport, he is always there
when we arrive, helping us carry things in, and
welcoming us into his home.  He even took the time to
choose a star to put on our back.

We had to ask yes and no questions
to guess which Oscar winner we had on our backs.
I got mine in 2 questions.

Then, as quick as a flash, he was gone,
leaving the ladies to oogle the many gowns, and jewels, but
not before we ate of course.

As usual the array of food was unbelievable...here is
a sampling...
 Barbecued Pork Sliders
and Artichoke, pepperoni pizza

Pigs in a blanket (and no I didn't bring them)

Patty, one of the bestest cooks I know
made us homemade lasagne.

Ice cold beverages galore

A mixed greens, spinach, blue cheese and walnut salad

Tammies delicious appetizer ... meatballs

Cynthia's delicious appetizer....we love this

Peggy baked us an assortment of delicios cookies with a special
guest making a special appearance
(oh sorry wrong end...no pun intended)

Delicious .. oops I think I got his backside again....
Here are a few smiling faces before the festivities began

And check out the great posters Katina put up for us.  She had just
about all of the posters for the nominated films
and some films that have not even come out yet

Outside and Inside

and decorations in our honor

We are always so happy to see each
other it is a chatter fest.

There were even a few nail biting moments waitng for some
of the Oscar winners to be named

And as soon as it began ....it was over and home we went.

I am curious though, how did everyone
like the show.  Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin?
Any opinions?

Thanks Katina and Mike for opening your home
and showing us a great time
