Hodge Podge?

A little bit of this and that!!

Today's table was inspired by an April Cornell
tablecloth I had purchased several years ago
and had never used.
I found it while rooting for some inspiration,
with it's tags still on.
It was a bargain by the way.

The table cloth is yellow seersucker
with painted pineapples in orange and green.

I paired my tablecloth with a striped napkin and
pottery barn napkin rings.
I didn't have four of the same color, so I used
2 green and 2 yellow.  (this and that)

adding a wee bit of sparkle

The dishes are layered....
cutwork charger, yellow plate and sunflower salad plate.
Alas, I had nothing to carry on the pineapple
theme from the tablecloth, hence the sunflower. (hodge, podge)

I used a tomato plant as my floral feature
(I didn't go out in search of flowers tonight)

It is so hard to get true color at night...
does anyone have a suggestion on that?
Do you like my furniture polish sitting on my sideboard....nice!!!
It is orange though...kind of goes with the table???

Some morning sun, it rained last night so it was a bit filtered

Here's my tomato, in his moss covered pot.

My sunflower pitcher

Oh and did I say I threw in a cloched bunny
and a bit of aspargus
(this really is hodge podge)

Even my glasses are miss matched...green and ambers

Oh well, I can't miss a chance to tablescape with Susan,
even if I have a random table today.
I am linking to Susan at Between Naps on the Porch
who is our hostess today.
Thanks for visiting...
I am off to visit you now.

Be sure to visit the other delightful participants

and come back and visit again soon.

I love the look. Sometimes a table can look too put together, if you know what I mean. I love the casual feeling that you get from this one, and the colors are great. Carla

Love the colors you've used - and the different patterns on the linens and dishes. Lucky you to find that tablecloth as a bargain!

I think your sunflower plates work wonderfully well with that gorgeous tablecloth! I like the amber and green glassware with it, too. Very appealing table!

Oh, I love it! The colors in the sunflowers look great with that tablecloth. (Of course, I'm the blogger who never matches ANYTHING on the table). The tomato plant is such a clever and great idea for a centerpiece, and yes, even your furniture polish matches your tablescape. laurie

I don't think your table looks mismatched, I think it looks pulled together perfectly. An artful eye! Very pretty and I love it.

I also love your little swimming ducks! How cute.

Hugs,
Joanne

This is cute, love the colors! I want those chargers!! The tomato plant wins for most unusual centerpiece, and the furniture polish cracks me up, like something I would do (forget to move it for the photo!)

This was so pretty Mom. Love the colors, and I love that everything is not matchy, matchy. It's such a bright and cheerful table and I love your centerpiece. Very spring to summer I think. Love the table cloth too. What's for dinner? What time? And what can I bring?

P.S. Are your lacy chargers a recent thing that might still be available? I have been looking for some like that -- I only need a couple -- want to use them on a wall.

Maryrose,
Hodge podge is good! You pulled everything together wonderfully and I'm loving the citrus colors of your glasses. I think I'm the only one in blogland without any April Cornell linens, yet!;)

You had me at the seersucker! How spring! But the layering of your plate on the white chargers is lovely- really makes it stand out. Great colors and design.

Thanks for sharing!
